3.0 earthquake strikes Manhattan Beach area

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Wednesday afternoon, 5 miles from Manhattan Beach, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor occurred at 12:23 p.m.
The depth was recorded at 5.6 miles.
According to the USGS, it was felt in some parts of the South Bay.
