Authorities Friday continued their search for a teenage girl allegedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend in Washington state and who may be headed to Mexico, prompting a statewide Amber Alert.

Police described 14-year-old Elizabeth Romero as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a white tank top and dark pants, and with a backpack and pink purse.

“We have strong evidence today that she is endangered,” Sgt. Ken Lattin of the Kennewick, Wash., Police Department told KTLA.

A statewide Amber Alert was also issued in Washington.

Police said video shows Elizabeth being forced Wednesday afternoon into a green 2000 Ford Escape with a Washington license plate and temporary registration. Authorities identified Elizabeth’s ex-boyfriend, Eduardo Flores-Rosalas, 19, as her abductor.

Flores-Rosalas is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighing 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Elizabeth and Flores-Rosalas had recently broken up, Lattin told KTLA.

Romero’s mother received text messages from a person identifying themselves as Elizabeth but they came from an unknown number, KTLA reported. When Elizabeth’s mother asked for a current photo she received no reply.
