Fire at homeless encampment creates smoke visible for miles
A fire broke out at a homeless encampment in Sun Valley on Thursday, sending large plumes of smoke into the air but causing no injuries or structural damage.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported the rubbish fire at 9545 N. El Dorado Ave., under the San Fernando Road bridge.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire.
