Los Angeles County coroner’s investigators plan to excavate a hillside today in Pasadena after bones that are possibly human were found in brush near the 210 and 134 Freeway interchange.
Workers with the California Department of Transportation discovered the bones about 1 p.m. Thursday as they were clearing brush along the freeway near San Rafael, according to Pasadena police.
Linda Vista Avenue was closed to through traffic at Fern Drive, just north of the 134 Freeway.
While Pasadena police say the bones might be human, Los Angeles County coroner’s investigators have not confirmed their origin and plan to continue their examination Friday morning.
Pasadena police remained in the area overnight to protect the scene.
