Reader photo: Airplane parts and skyscrapers in downtown Los Angeles

Anya Zaripova was exploring downtown Los Angeles in March. At the Museum of Contemporary Art, Nancy Rubin’s “Chas’ Stainless Steel, Mark Thompson’s Airplane Parts, About 1000 Pounds of Stainless Steel Wire, Gagosian’s Beverly Hills Space” sculpture caught her eye, so she approached for a closer look, she said. Underneath, she looked up. Seeing the chaotic sculpture against the perfectly shaped skyscrapers inspired her to take this photo, she said.
