Could Justin Bieber be pulling out the moving boxes and leaving Calabasas behind him like a rotten egg? Maybe. Maybe not. Celebrity-dish sites are citing unnamed sources, so take it with a grain of salt.

With the trouble the 19-year-old pop star has seen in the quiet, upper-class community northwest of Los Angeles, it would be odd if moving didn’t cross his mind a time or two.

It may have crossed the minds of others too. The L.A. Times contacted Calabasas Mayor Fred Gaines on Tuesday. He said this:

“I have no information about Mr. Bieber’s intentions to remain in Calabasas or to move. The fact that a talented international musician like Mr. Bieber chooses to live in Calabasas is certainly a feather in our cap and a tribute to our safe and beautiful community.

“But the peace and privacy of our residents is the city’s top priority. We have unfortunately had a number of breaches of the peace related to Mr. Bieber and his residence, and the sheriff has acted appropriately in addressing those incidents.”

The most recent brouhaha was an egging incident that ended in a felony search warrant that kept Bieber and others confined to the mansion -- and a drug arrest of someone at the home other than the pop star.

Bieber has been accused by neighbors of hosting loud parties and speeding through the neighborhood. Former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson confronted Bieber about his alleged speeding. Johnson has since sold his Calabasas home.

Bieber’s currently in hot water over alleged street racing in Miami Beach, Fla. He is charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license. An arraignment has been set for Valentine’s Day.

After all this, it wouldn’t be surprising if Bieber wanted a fresh start.

If Bieber does sell, this is what he’ll put on the market, according to L.A. Times’ Hot Property columnist Lauren Beale: a 10,000-square-foot main house with a high-ceiling foyer, library, movie theater with stadium seating, wet bar and wine cellar. There’s also a guesthouse. All told there are seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Outside there’s a swimming pool and expansive lawns. Previous owners of the home, built in 2005, included Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife, Nicole Murphy.

It’s 1.3 acres of ahhhh in a gated community. Justin, you sure you want to give that up?
