First, Herman Cain had a “Rick Perry moment.” And now, he’s channeling Arnold Schwarzenegger?

That would be the cartoon version of California’s former governor, as portrayed in “The Simpsons Movie.”

Cain was in New Hampshire on Thursday, and rallied his supporters by recalling an exchange with a reporter who asked about his struggles earlier in the week on a question about Libya.

Cain says he was asked if he really believed he didn’t need to be a foreign policy expert to be president.

“Yes!” Cain says he replied. “Who knows every detail of every country of every situation on the planet? Nobody!”

Later, he added simply: “We need a leader, not a reader.”

Voters will ultimately have the final say on that question. In the meantime, the moment evoked comparisons to the cartoon Schwarzenegger, portrayed as the president of the United States in “The Simpsons Movie.”

“I was elected to lead, not to read,” he says.
