The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold a lunch workshop for business owners on Nov. 4 about avoiding wrongful termination claims.
Attorney Dawn Knepper, a labor and employment expert, will chair the 90-minute session from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mozambique steakhouse that will provide a checklist supervisors can use to reduce a company’s risk when it dismisses a troublesome employee.
Knepper advises and defends clients in federal and state employment-related lawsuits and agency claims, including alleged discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
The luncheon costs $10 per person and is payable at the door. RSVP is required.
Register online at lagunabeachchamber.org or call (949) 494-1018.
Mozambique is at 1740 S. Coast Hwy.
