Breakers All-Net team secures regular-season title

The Laguna Beach Breakers 5th Grade All-Net division team finished the National Junior Basketball regular season Sunday and edged a strong Chino Valley Heat team, 35-34.

The victory sealed a regular-season championship for the Breakers who improved to 9-3. After a slow start to the season which included a total of six losses in tournament and regular-season play, they caught fire and complied a nine-game winning streak.

The Breakers will compete this weekend in the NJB All-Net Championship Tournament at The Map Sports Facility in Garden Grove.

The 5th-Grade All-Net division Breakers are: Griffin Naess, Oliver Rounaghi, Boden Gillette, Taylor Towe, Luke Meisberger, Ben Reimers, Ben Neufeld, Noah Liao, Devon Connelly and Mason Herr.
