World’s largest surfboard has a home at International Surfing Museum

More than 100 people gathered at the International Surfing Museum on Friday to see Visit Huntington Beach unveil the new home of the world’s largest surfboard.
The 42 1/4-foot long board towers over the museum’s parking lot and will be the business’ key attraction. In June, Huntington Beach set two Guinness World Records by having the largest surfboard and having 66 people ride it toward the coast without assistance.
Should the city ever decide to break its own record or tour the board around the world, the board can be removed from its mount in about an hour.
