An Anaheim man has been charged with attempted rape and other felonies in connection with a reported assault on a woman in her Fountain Valley home.

Outside, officers found a distraught and bruised woman, who told them a man had just attacked her inside her home, police said.

The officers investigated and arrested Turner, police said.

Turner and the woman are acquaintances who had met recently, according to Fountain Valley police Sgt. Tony Luce. The woman invited Turner into her home before the attack, Luce said.

Turner is being held in Orange County Jail with bail set at $1 million, police said.

The Orange County district attorney’s office charged him with four felonies: attempted rape, assault with intent to commit a sexual offense, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

He also faces three possible sentencing enhancements on allegations of inflicting great bodily injury, according to court records.

Turner is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 11.

Police asked that anyone with information about the case contact Det. Gloria Scott at gloria.scott@fountainvalley.org or (714) 593-4480.
