Huntington opened tourney play against Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula and routed the Panthers in a 14-0 shutout. Arizona commit Ivy Davis went two for four which included a three-run home run, Stanford-bound Kristina Inouye went three for four with a double and three RBIs, and Maryland-bound Anna Kufta went two for four with a double. Alyssa Horeczko, also a Stanford commit, allowed only one hit and struck out five for the win, and sophomore Kendall Henscheid threw two scoreless innings and was “equally impressive,” Oilers Coach Jeff Forsberg said.

In its second game, Huntington pounded Granada Hills, 19-5. Oregon-commit Allee Bunker went three for three with a pair of doubles and a home run, Inouye homered among two hits, and NYU-bound Callie Saccacio went two for two with a double. Horeczko didn’t give up a hit or run in picking up her second win of the day, and Davis finished on the mound and allowed only one earned run.
