The Clippers will have a news conference with their newest addition, Lance Stephenson, on Thursday afternoon at their practice facility in Playa Vista.
They acquired the 24-year-old shooting guard from the Charlotte Hornets on Monday in exchange for Clippers forward-center Spencer Hawes and forward Matt Barnes.
Stephenson averaged 8.2 points on 37.6% shooting, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 25.8 minutes per game last season with the Hornets. He also shot a woeful 17.1% from beyond the three-point line.
On Monday evening Stephenson tweeted: “I’m looking forward to doing whatever I can to help bring a championship to Los Angeles and Clipper nation.”
The Clippers were eliminated from the 2015 playoffs in the second round by the Houston Rockets. They blew a 3-1 lead in that series, allowing the Rockets to become just the ninth team in NBA history to recover from that type of a deficit.
