With the deadline day trade for outfielder Josh Reddick, the Dodgers felt they could part ways, at least for the time being, with Yasiel Puig.
He was sent to the minors on Tuesday while Reddick started in right field and batted fourth against the Rockies. He went 0 for 4 in a 7-3 loss.
