UConn and Villanova first played on Jan. 31, 1941, a 40-35 Huskies loss. Since then they have met 62 more times, mainly as Big East rivals, with the Wildcats holding a 33-30 overall edge. The last meeting was a 70-61 ‘Nova win at the XL Center on Feb. 16, 2013. The two have never met in the NCAA tournament with the only postseason play coming in the Big East tournament with the Wildcats holding a 3-2 advantage.
