Full Coverage: California Chrome’s run for the Triple Crown

California Chrome got two-thirds of the way to the Triple Crown of horse racing before finishing a disappointing fourth place in the Belmont Stakes. The horse, which became a crowd favorite and reenergized interest in the sport, was bred in California and is owned by two men in their first-ever racing partnership. California Chrome is trained by a 77-year-old former jockey who works out of a quarter horse track in Orange County.
