Video: Times reporter Mike Bresnahan on Steve Nash joining Lakers

Times basketball reporter Mike Bresnahan chats with CineSport’s Noah Coslov about the Lakers’ acquisition of Steve Nash and the possibility of pursuing Magic center Dwight Howard.

The two-time MVP of the NBA brings a floor leadership that the Lakers haven’t had since the days of Magic Johnson. Nash is a career 49% shooter from the field, including 43% from three-point range. He’s also No. 5 in career assists and one of a handful of players to average better than 90% from the free-throw line.

Bresnahan and Coslov discuss:

-- How Coach Mike Brown will take advantage of Nash’s passing ability to run pick-and-roll sets.

-- Nash’s only problem is his defense. But his offensive game probably offsets any deficiencies.

-- Howard and his representatives have to take notice that the Lakers are making moves.
