After an hour and 59 minutes, the women’s triathlon ended with an unbelievably close finish. Gold medalist Nicola Spirig of Switzerland and silver medalist Lisa Norden of Sweden reached the ribbon at the same second, and bronze medalist Erin Densham arrived two seconds later. In fourth place was American Sarah Groff, who finished 12 seconds off the lead.
