SAN JOSE — Steven Gluckstein, a 22-year-old from Atlantic Highlands, N.J., beat out, among others, his little brother Jeffrey, 19, to win the U.S. trampoline title Wednesday night and earn the U.S. Olympic spot.

Savannah Vinsant of Newton, Texas, won the women’s title and will represent the U.S.

Steven Gluckstein and Vinsant won their titles at the event that served as the third and final qualifying meet for Olympic selection.

Logan Dooley of Lake Forest finished second to Steven Gluckstein after the scores from three Olympic qualifying meets were totaled, and Jeffrey Gluckstein was third.

“It’s surreal right now,” said Steven Gluckstein, who finished first in all three Olympic selection events. “The greatest thing right now is the relief. I’m the kind of person who puts a lot of stress and a lot of pressure on myself.”

Vinsant also won all three Olympic selection events. She pronounced herself “speechless” after finishing competition Wednesday and then added some extra words.

“I’m filled with joy and I’m at peace that it’s over. I’m honored to be representing Team USA.”
