Watch the Spurs mascot spoof Mariah Carey’s disastrous New Year’s Eve performance
Who’s the bigger diva, the San Antonio Spurs mascot or Mariah Carey?
You be the judge. Here’s the superstar not really trying to sing her hit, “Emotions,” earlier this week on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” on ABC.
During the, uh, performance, a displeased-looking Carey stated she wasn’t able to hear the music and that they hadn’t rehearsed the song during sound check. Afterward, Carey’s camp and the show’s producers each assigned blame for the now-viral disaster on the other party.
The Spurs Coyote had a eerily similar incident occur during an on-court performance Tuesday night at the AT&T Center:
As far as we know, the coyote has yet to blame the Spurs organization for sabotaging his routine. But stay tuned — you know how those divas can be.
