The tree that keeps on giving

Gorgeous flowers of the feijoa, also called a pineapple guava, start blooming in late spring, emitting a delicate scent. “I just pick off the petals and eat them,” landscape architect Pamela Burton says. “It’s just a wonderful thing. There’s only about two spoonfuls of edible fruit in the small, egg-shaped feijoa, also called pineapple guava.
