Cruises: Shape up and ship out on a Zumba-themed cruise
Fitness fans who fear packing on the pounds while on vacation may want to consider this Zumba-themed cruise. The five-day excursion, aboard Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Sea, departs from and returns to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Classes featuring the Latin-music-themed dance and aerobic workout will be offered every day, led by 130 Zumba instructors from around the world as well as its creator, Beto Pérez. The ship will make port calls in Haiti for a live concert on a private island as well as Falmouth, Jamaica, with time to explore Ocho Rios and Dunn’s River Falls.
Dates: Jan. 25-30.
Price: From $644. Includes accommodations, meals, most on-board activities and all Zumba classes. Airfare not included.
