For a limited time, you can pay for an ocean-view cabin on some Princess Cruises sailings and receive a free upgrade to a balcony room.

It’s all part of the cruise line’s 50th-anniversary season, according to a statement from Princess.

The Suite & Balcony Bonus Sale is pretty straightforward: Make a reservation for a balcony stateroom and you’ll pay the price of an ocean-view room. Sale prices are posted online for selected cruises.

For example, you’ll find a balcony room aboard a seven-day Coastal California cruise aboard the Crown Princess from Los Angeles starting at $899 per person, based on double occupancy. Stops include San Francisco, Santa Barbara, San Diego as well as Ensenada, Mexico.

And 15-day sailings from San Francisco to the Hawaiian Islands -- including stops at the Big Island, Oahu, Maui, Kauai -- and Ensenada start at $2,299 per person.

The cruise prices don’t include tax and fees.

The sale also applies to selected cruises to the Caribbean, Canada and New England, the Panama Canal and Mexico.

In addition, those who choose a mini suite or suite will receive $75 to $150 on-board credit for each passenger.

The offer is good until 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on March 19.
