1st Thursdays in Santa Barbara
The new arts and culture event is the first Thursday of every month. Participating galleries and museums are open until at least 8 p.m.; this month’s highlights include music performances, poetry readings and an interactive computer art exhibit.
When, where: 5 to 8 p.m. April 5, mostly along State Street
Admission: Free (though some sites charge for food and wine tastings)
