JetBlue’s 3-day sale: $39 Long Beach-Las Vegas, $159 Long Beach-Anchorage

JetBlue Airways launched a wide-ranging three-day sale Monday at a time when airfare deals haven’t been quite so fast and furious. Fares start at $39 each way from Long Beach to Las Vegas and $159 from Long Beach to Anchorage, Alaska. The catch: You have to book by Wednesday.

The deal: The Deals Are in the Air Sale is good for travel on most routes from April 26 through June 22, with some blackout dates. For this deal, you can fly every day except Friday and Sunday.

Here are sample each-way fares from Long Beach Airport (LGB): $39 to Las Vegas; $59 to Sacramento, San Francisco and Oakland; $79 to Seattle and Portland, Ore.; $149 to Washington, D.C., and Boston; and $159 to Anchorage. The sale also includes fares from LAX to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for $129 and Boston for $149. Prices don’t include tax and fees.

When: The offer expires 8:59 p.m. PDT Wednesday.

Tested: I went to JetBlue’s website to check from Long Beach to Anchorage. The travel window for this route is smaller than some others from May 23 through June 22, with blackout dates May 26 through 30. I found the $159 each way fare available for round-trip travel June 6 to 13.
