If you thought flying business class to London was way out of reach, take a look at this summer sale from British Airways. It lets you fly round trip between Los Angeles and the British capital in the Club World business cabin starting at about $3,000, including taxes and fees.

With Club World, you sleep onboard in seats-turned-beds. On the ground, you get access to airport lounges with free snacks, drinks, WiFi and more. Plus other goodies.

While still not cheap, the upgrade to business could be worth it if you value the perks, considering that even coach-class transatlantic tickets can set you back about $2,000 on some summer dates.

--- The deal: British Airways’ L.A.-London business-class discounted rates start at $1,373 each way plus tax and fees. And you can get this fare up to seven days prior to travel.

-- When: The offer is good for travel from July 26 though Sept. 4 but must be purchased by Sunday.

-- Tested: In test-booking online, I found a seat in business class under the deal for $3,045 round-trip, with tax and fees, for a July 27-Aug. 3 round trip between Los Angeles and London. That was about $1,500 less than business class fares I checked for October travel, after the sale expires.

By comparison, a coach seat for the same July 27-Aug. 3 trip cost $2,150 round-trip, including tax and fees.
