REI Adventures, the travel wing of the outdoors co-op, is marking 25 years of leading trekking and sightseeing trips around the world. To celebrate, the company is taking 25% off the cost of selected trips -- from a strenuous trek to the base of Mt. Everest to bicycling in France‘s Loire Valley.

The deal: REI Adventures discounted rates are available only to members ($20 for a lifetime membership) and are based on double occupancy. These are trips for folks who like to trek, bicycle, kayak and hike; some are strenuous, some “relaxed” or easy. Here are some samples of the discounted rates.

Prices are per person, excluding tax and airfare. Tours include guides, lodgings (from hotels to mountain refuges to tents, depending on the trip) and most meals. Here are some samples:
