Your Scene: Striking images in Washington
- Share via
The U.S. Army Band was performing a concert concert on the grounds of the Washington Memorial the day Meg Foss and her family visited in August. As the family descended the monument, the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment fired cannons as the “1812 Overture” played. Outside, Foss and her family spotted these soldiers.
“The image was so striking against the white marble blocks -- I just had to take the picture,” she said.
The Sherman Oaks resident used a Panasonic DMC-F3.
