There’s camping, and then there’s glamping, the luxe version of connecting with nature. Idaho-based Far and Away Adventures offers three-day summer trips to a quiet part of Yellowstone National Park where tents come with carpeted floors and cozy beds with full-sized pillows. And there’s one more perk: For a limited time, children go for half price.

The Yellowstone Lake Glamping trip begins at Bridge Bay Marina on Yellowstone Lake on the Wyoming side of the park. A boat takes participants to a remote lake-side camping spot for three days of kayaking, hiking, fly-fishing and wildlife watching. Evenings are spent around the campfire listening to a naturalist and eating four-course candlelight dinners. Wine pairings come with gourmet dining (children have a separate menu).

The deal: The bargain on this trip comes in the $420 for each child younger than 18. One adult can bring up to three children and two adults up to six children and get the discount rate. Note that children must be members of the family, not unrelated family friends.

When: Trips depart July 11, 13, 19, 21, 27 and 29; Aug. 6, 12, 14, 20, 22, 28 and 30. Participants must reserve by April 15 to get the children’s discount.

Price: $840 per adult and $420 per child younger than 18 (for reservations made by April 15; price goes up after that date). It includes two nights in a luxury tent, meals with wine, boat ride to camp, sea kayaking and other guided activities. Airfare is extra.
