Winter in Vancouver, Canada, can be gray and dreary, but the Executive Hotel Le Soleil is offering a deal that promises to chase away the blues in that city in British Columbia.

The “Discover Gastown” package invites guests to lace up their walking shoes and explore Gastown, Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood and a national historic site.

Nearly every building in Gastown boasts historic significance. The district is home to more than 180 shops, restaurants, bars and clubs.

One of the best parts of the package may be the insider info: A list of hotel employees’ favorite places is provided along with a walking map.

One of the staff faves is the Salty Tongue Urban Deli, where guests make new friends as they gather at the 40-foot communal dining table.

Another recommendation is Gassy Jack’s Cigars. (Remember to smoke those Cubans before you leave Canada.) For those in need of further retail therapy, several stylish boutiques are also included.

The hotel package, priced at about $170 includes a night’s lodging in one of the four-star property’s 119 suites, valet parking, Wi-Fi and a bottle of wine.

[UPDATED: A previous version of this post incorrectly reported that the $170 was for two nights’ lodging. It is for one night.]
