Daily Deal: $89 rooms for families at Radisson near Disney World

If you’re going to Walt Disney World in Florida this summer or fall, why not stay near the town Disney built? The Radisson Resort Orlando-Celebration in Kissimmee is half a mile from the amusement park and across the street from the Celebration community built by Disney in the 1990s. Rooms for a family of four are as low as $89 a night, and that comes with shuttle service to Walt Disney World.

The deal: This hotel rate doesn’t come with tickets (other hotel packages do) but provides a low-cost room for families traveling to Walt Disney World. It’s designated as a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, which means you can buy tickets and ask questions about the park at the guest services desk in the lobby.

And there are plenty of kid-friendly things to do at the resort, too, such as splashing down in the lagoon-style pool or the 40-foot waterslide, or participating in free arts and crafts projects. The hotel shuttle takes you to the Epcot Transportation Center, and kids younger than 5 receive a free breakfast with the purchase of an adult breakfast.

When: The offer is good through the end of the year.

Tested: I checked availability for random dates (Aug. 1-4) and found a room that accommodates two adults and two children for $79 to $89 during that time, excluding tax. There’s also a $15 daily resort fee, which offsets the $14 a day you save on parking at the amusement park by taking the shuttle.
