Las Vegas: Excalibur’s ‘Tournament’ gets first female horse rider

Share

A woman with plenty of equine experience has become the first female horse rider in the cast of a long-running medieval-themed dinner show in Las Vegas.

Iranda Dyer is the newest “maiden” to join the cast of “Tournament of Kings” at the Excalibur. Unlike the other female performers, Dyer appears astride Nobilissimo as she leads him through dressage, a routine in which horse and rider make precise movements in harmony.

Nobilissimo is an Andalusian, commonly called “the horse of kings.”

During the daytime, the San Diego County native works as a sports massage therapist for horses at three equine centers in Las Vegas.
