Burbank Mayor Dallas Williams rode in the lead vehicle of the grand opening procession for the Olive Avenue Bridge in 1958.

A story in the next morning’s Los Angeles Times reported that “the 1430-foot bridge spans Front St., the Golden State Freeway and the Southern California tracks. It is 66 feet wide, providing 52 feet for vehicles and two 7-foot sidewalks with handrails.”
