Police in Rio de Janeiro cracked down on drugs and violence. The wave of violence raises questions over the city’s ability to safely host the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics Games, which it was awarded just over a year ago. The wave of violence began on Sunday with attacks on police stations and vehicles.
