Greyhound launches nonstop bus service between Las Vegas and L.A.
Planning to have a bit too much fun in Las Vegas to drive? Starting Wednesday, Greyhound is launching direct bus service between Los Angeles and Sin City.
Hard partiers, commuters and others who want to avoid car or plane travel can choose between five daily round-trip options. On Fridays and Saturdays, Greyhound will run two additional round-trip selections.
The trip will cost $25 to $67.50 each way, though some $1 fares will be available. Southwest currently has some $67 one-way flights available for the same route.
The buses making the new five-hour nonstop trek are part of the premium Greyhound Express fleet, which includes reserved leather seats, power outlets and free Wi-Fi.
They are separate from the standard Greyhound buses already making multi-stop trips between Los Angeles and Las Vegas with layovers in Barstow, Riverside and other cities.
Greyhound services more than 3,800 destinations across North America.
But Dallas-based Greyhound doesn’t have a monopoly on the L.A.-to-Vegas route. Companies such as Lux Bus America, American Lion Transportation and some tour operators also run bus lines between the two cities.
