Rocker Benji Madden lists Glendale house

Benji Madden of Good Charlotte put his gated Glendale compound on the market at $2.135 million and in about a week it was in escrow.

The Traditional-style three-story home, built in 1951, sits on a half-acre lot with a guest house, a swimming pool and a pool house. A formal foyer, a winding staircase, four bedrooms and seven bathrooms are within the 5,346 square feet of living space.

The living room features a brick fireplace and French doors and windows.

Madden, 35, is guitarist/vocalist for the pop punk band and the rock duo The Madden Brothers. He has written music for the “2014 MTV Video Music Awards” and “The Voice.”

He has been in the news this year as dating actress Cameron Diaz and has also dated TV personalities Paris Hilton and Holly Madison and singer-songwriter Eliza Doolittle.

The property last changed hands a decade ago for $1.55 million. Madden bought another L.A.-area house two years ago for $1.125 million.
