Jake Gyllenhaal lists home for sale in Hollywood Hills
Leading man Jake Gyllenhaal has listed his gated compound in Hollywood Hills for sale at $3.5 million.
The single-story home, built in 1948, sits on nearly two acres with a detached office. The 2,826 square feet of living space opens to a swimming pool. There are vaulted beamed ceilings, a den, a family room, three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Gyllenhaal, 33, started acting as a child. He will play the lead in the upcoming thriller “Nightcrawler” and has starred in such films as “Source Code” (2011), “Zodiac” (2007) and “Broke Back Mountain” (2005).
He bought the celebrity-pedigree property in 2005 for $2.5 million. Among names of note as former owners are Michael Balzary, aka Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Hat tip goes to Redfin for spotting the listing.
Denny Kagasoff of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties is the listing agent.
