Dykstra lists one Thousand Oaks property at $4.7 million
A Thousand Oaks home owned by bankrupt former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra has come on the Multiple Listing Service at $4.7 million.
The five-bedroom, 5 1/2 -bathroom, two-story house, built in 1999, has 8,013 square feet of living space and mountain views. It sits on an acre.
Dykstra, 46, whose ventures since retiring from major league baseball have included running a car wash chain, a charter jet company and a magazine geared toward athletes, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July. The filing forestalled the foreclosure auction sale of another property, a 6 1/2 -acre compound in Thousand Oaks. That mansion has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 12,713 square feet and was purchased from hockey great Wayne Gretzky in 2007 for $18.5 million.
The listing agent on the most recently listed house is Beverly Alvarez of Re/Max OTB Estates, Encino, according to the MLS.
