Keith Gonzales lists Windsor Square home at $4,399,000

Keith Gonzales is the editor of the Players Directory -- the industry’s oldest and best-known casting guide. The real estate agent with whom he just listed his Windsor Square home rescues dogs -- “re-homes” them, if you will. (You can see where this is headed, can’t you?) Yes, she will include a free pup to anyone qualified (for dog ownership as well as the mortgage) to buy his 1924 Mediterranean.

Some lucky dog’s new house is listed at $4,399,000. It has four bedrooms and five bathrooms in 7,242 square feet with a nice yard suitable for bone burial. There are twin winding staircases, all the better to play you-can’t-catch-me on. There is a new solar pool (doggy paddle race, anyone?) and views of the downtown Los Angeles skyline. Larchmont Village is just a short dog walk away.

The Players Directory was first published in 1937 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It was a 248-page publication that listed about 1,250 actors -- including Mae West, James Stewart and Bette Davis. In 1996, it evolved into an industry website with online profiles and demo reels for thousands of professional actors as well as continuing as a print edition.
