CBS will once again broadcast the annual Tony Awards ceremony, with next year’s show scheduled for June 8 at Radio City Music Hall. As in the past, the network will broadcast the ceremony live, with a delay for the West Coast.

In recent years CBS has struggled with falling ratings for the Tonys, which has traditionally been the least-viewed of the major entertainment award shows. But the 2013 broadcast saw a significant bump in viewers to 7.24 million, up from 6 million in 2012.

It was the largest TV audience the ceremony has drawn in several years. Actor and award-show-axiom Neil Patrick Harris has served as the host of the show for the last three ceremonies.

Nominations for the 2014 Tonys will be announced April 29.

CBS has an agreement to air the Tonys until 2018. The show, which honors Broadway productions, is organized by the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway League.
