Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler quit ‘Idol’; Randy Jackson next?

Is nobody going to Hollywood anymore? Jennifer Lopez announced her intention to leave “American Idol” on Friday morning, hot on the heels of Steven Tyler’s declaration of independence the day before.

And there are rumors that Randy Jackson, the third and only remaining original judge, might be leaving the long-running Fox talent search.

Lopez’s voice cracked off and on — Surprised, anyone? No? — as she told Ryan Seacrest she’d be leaving the “Idol” team after two seasons.

“I have my movies and my music and my this and that and it all kind of worked together for a while, but it gets just more complicated,” Lopez said Friday on the “Idol” host’s morning radio show. “And as the kids get a little bigger ... I started feeling like something had to give, something has to give. And that’s where I think I am right now.”

“So does that mean we’re co-workers or not?,” Seacrest asked.

“Ommph,” she said, “you know, I really was dreading this phone call with you.”

“You’re breaking up with me?”

You called it, Ryan. La Lopez will no longer be facing the seven- to eight-month commitment that is the “American Idol” show cycle, though she left the door open to guest appearances.

“After some long ... hard ... thoughts … I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit,” he said in a statement obtained by Pop & Hiss. “I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back — but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band.”

So yeah, Ryan, he’s breaking up with you too.

Meanwhile, original judge Randy Jackson also had buzz going, with a source telling Us Weekly that he was out as a judge but possibly staying in a mentor role, with his client Mariah Carey in talks to fill his regular seat.

“They are in serious talks with Mariah, and it’s very close to being a done deal,” the source said.

So who else might join the panel? Adam Lambert and Charlie Sheen are only two of the names being bandied about by the chattering classes, though Lambert says “nothing’s been asked yet” and Sheen said he’d do it only if the money were right.

Also, Perez Hilton was quick to throw his hat in the make-me-a-judge ring after tweeting about Tyler’s departure Thursday.

On Friday, he added: “Can you imagine it now: me and @MariahCarey? THAT would be must watch TV! ¿#PerezForIdol.”
