Lea Michele of ‘Glee’ takes new beau Matthew Paetz to amfAR gala
Lea Michele has made her first official appearance with her new man, Matthew Paetz.
For those who couldn't unhinge their eyeballs from Rihanna and Miley Cyrus' fleshy Tom Ford gowns, the "Glee" star attended the amfAR LA Inspiration gala with dating and lifestyle coach Paetz on her arm in Hollywood on Wednesday .
Michele wore a strappy, shimmering Versace gown, Jen Meyer jewelry and kept followers abreast of the evening's happenings with a few nods to her boyfriend along the way.
"Such an honor being a part of last night's incredible evening.... #AMFAR honoring #TomFord... it's nights like last night that inspire me to work hard and always use your powers for good to help make a change," she wrote on Instagram on Thursday, sharing a pic of her table and escort cards bearing her and Paetz's names.
The couple was photographed getting cozy, as seen above, inside the event too.
The singer-actress shared another snap of them greeting "Glee" and "American Horror Story" showrunner Ryan Murphy: "Thank you @MrRPMurphy for all the incredible work you do.. Honored to be your friend. #amfAR," she wrote.
The 28-year-old and Paetz were first linked over the summer, about a year after the death of boyfriend and former "Glee" costar Cory Monteith. At the time, her association with Paetz raised eyebrows because of his alleged past history coaching gigolos.
The two reportedly met in April on the set of her music video "On My Way" and were rumored to be a couple in late June. The pair is often seen hiking together and Paetz reportedly moved into the actress' Hollywood Hills home in September, People reported.
Fans still give her a hard time about the coupling on social media, accusing her of moving on from Monteith too quickly.
The event was held at Milk Studios in Hollywood and was hosted by Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow. It honored designer Tom Ford and featured performances by Paltrow's ex, Chris Martin, and his band, Coldplay, as well as Diana Ross. "Glee's" Matthew Morrison, singers Justin Timberlake and Ashlee Simpson, actresses January Jones, Michele Rodriguez, Sharon Stone, Kristin Davis, model Alessandra Ambrosio, actor Eddie Redmayne and E! Personality Kelly Osbourne also attended the gala.
