Solange weds Alan Ferguson; Beyonce chronicles fierce fashion choices

Solange Knowles wed video director Alan Ferguson in New Orleans on Sunday, and the fashionista served up enviable bridal flair.

The "I Decided" singer, younger sister to Destiny's Child alum Beyonce Knowles, arrived with her groom riding vintage bicycles through the French Quarter. But hers wasn't just any bike: The trendy transport was adorned with flowers and a small basket.

For the grand entrance, the bride wore a plunging ivory Stephane Rolland jumpsuit with cape-like wings! And that wasn't the first cape.

The wedding took place at the Marigny Opera House, according to People and the Associated Press, and was followed by NOLA's traditional second line parade in which newlyweds and their guests proceed through the streets carrying sparklers to toast the happy couple. (The R&B singer wore a totally different jumpsuit for that too.)

Ferguson, 51, who has directed music videos for Beyonce and Katy Perry, wore white for the ceremony, as did key attendees and several guests. Bey shared a bridal-party snapshot featuring Solange in yet another cape draped over an immaculate white gown -- this one by Solange's friend and collaborator Humberto Leon for Kenzo.

In another portrait, the Knowles women -- Solange, Bey and their mother Tina -- were surrounded by several gal pals looking straight to camera. The women seemingly wore what they wanted for the occasion, as long as it was white.

"Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love,"  Solange told Vogue in an article published online Sunday. "Everything was a labor of love."

The affair was photographed by Rog Walker and will reportedly be featured in a future issue of Vogue. The singer's wardrobe choices have been likened to styling in "The Hunger Games," and the viral shareability of Bey's images were classified as the right way to "break the Internet."

Also in attendance -- and in white -- were Solange's son from her first marriage, Daniel Julez, 10, and Beyonce's troupe: baby girl Blue Ivy and rapper Jay Z, who earlier this year buried the hatchet with Solange after their elevator brawl the night of the Met Gala in May. Her pal Janelle Monae, a Grammy winner, was also among the guests.

It's the second marriage for Knowles, who wed Daniel Smith in 2004 when she was 17; they divorced after only a couple of years.

Unfortunately, the whimsical day was reportedly capped off by a bit of a nightmare for the bride. Rumor has it that Knowles experienced some sort of allergic reaction and her face broke out in hives as she boarded a vehicle at the end of the night, Gawker reported.
