When I heard Frosty, Heidi and Frank talking about going off the air, I thought it had to be a joke. Then I read in The Times that it is a clean sweep of the entire station [“Clearing the Air at KLSX,” by Greg Braxton, Feb. 21]. Who thought this was a good idea??!!!

We are saturated with music everywhere -- iPods, CDs, etc. KLSX was such a great alternative for those of us who just wanted to laugh and listen to great conversation. There is always NPR when you feel like being educated.

Adam Carolla was so funny and so smart; he filled Howard Stern’s shoes and then some. Frosty, Heidi and Frank were just so lovably funny and entertaining.

These people actually made driving the L.A. freeways and potholed side streets, dare I say, enjoyable. What a shame they are gone.

I believe KLSX violated its operational responsibilities and obligations to its listeners and the community as a whole with the elimination of its successful talk format.

Since the FCC is preoccupied with determining objectionable content on the radio, why don’t they look at the effect on the community from the cancellation of all spoken content from KLSX? That’s objectionable.
