Some fans confused by Johnny Depp’s ‘pimp’ look for ‘Into the Woods’
Reactions were mixed after the first official images were released of Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf in the upcoming film adaptation of “Into The Woods.”
The first photo of Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf in the upcoming Disney musical “Into the Woods” was released Wednesday to mixed reaction.
Some fans love the look, while others said he looks more like a "pimp" with minimal wolf-like features.
The Depp photo is one variant of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, which features the “Into the Woods” cast from the popular musical about fairy-tale characters whose worlds collide. Different covers feature different characters.
Depp is no stranger to playing outrageous characters -- Capt. Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands, the Mad Hatter -- but critics of the Big Bad Wolf say this one, while extreme, makes no sense.
