Paris Hilton has been transferred back to the women’s jail in Lynwood after spending six days in the medical ward at the Twin Towers jail in downtown Los Angeles, officials said Thursday.

Hilton, who was being treated for an undisclosed medical condition, was moved back to the Century Regional Detention Center about 11 p.m. Wednesday, said Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Whitmore described the beleaguered hotel heiress as being in “stable condition,” but he declined to comment further on her medical condition.

The Sheriff’s Department has been flooded with e-mails and calls about Hilton’s incarceration, Whitmore told reporters at a news conference Thursday at the department’s headquarters in Monterey Park.

Hilton, star of the reality TV show “The Simple Life,” was sentenced last month to 45 days in jail after repeatedly violating the terms of her probation on alcohol-related reckless driving charges from an incident last year. Her sentence was later reduced to 23 days.

But Hilton was released by Sheriff Lee Baca on June 7 after serving less than four full days because of an unspecified medical condition.

She was ordered back to court the next day and directed by the judge to complete her sentence.

Whitmore said Thursday that Hilton is expected to be released June 25. “It all depends on her medical condition and how that goes,” he said.
