Bryan Cranston to pen memoir: Should the title be “Read Lightly?”
One of the more infamous lines uttered by Bryan Cranston while playing vicious drug kingpin Walter White in the drama “Breaking Bad” was “I am the danger.”
Now Cranston is going from “the danger” to “the author.”
Cranston, whose portrayal of White on “Breaking Bad” scored him three consecutive best actor Emmys and worldwide acclaim, said he is planning to write a memoir that will be published by Scribner. The untitled memoir by Cranston, who is appearing on Broadway as President Lyndon B. Johnson in “All The Way,” is scheduled for publication in fall 2015.

The actor said the memoir will trace his career as a journeyman thespian from his beginnings to the role that transformed his life. He plans to offer insights into his early years, the craft of acting and his experience on “Breaking Bad.”
“Walter White taught me a lot — some of it useful, some of it dangerous,” said Cranston in a statement. “With this book, I want to tell the stories of my life and reveal the secrets and lies that I lived with for six years shooting ‘Breaking Bad.’ ”
