As Jon Stewart’s farewell from “The Daily Show” approaches, he’s booked the biggest guest of them all.

No, not Cher, but the leader of the free world himself, President Barack Obama, who will appear on “The Daily Show” on Tuesday.

It will be Obama’s third visit to the show as president, and his seventh overall. He last stopped by the Comedy Central series during the 2012 presidential campaign.

Obama, who became the first sitting president to appear on a late-night show, has been a regular on the talk circuit during his seven years in office.

He was one of David Letterman’s final “Late Show” guests in May and has stopped by “The Tonight Show,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Colbert Report.”

He’s also garnered headlines with his ventures into nontraditional media outlets such as the comedic Web series “Between Two Ferns” and, most recently, Marc Maron’s podcast, “WTF.”

Stewart will sign off from “The Daily Show” on Aug. 6, with South African comic Trevor Noah taking over as host beginning Sept. 28.
