Five months after an ex-Napster executive was killed after being knocked from his bicycle by a patrol car on on Mulholland Drive, investigators have submitted an accident report to the district attorney's office.
Prosecutors must now decide whether Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Andrew Wood's conduct violated the law.
FOR THE RECORD
An earlier version of this post incorrectly said the investigation took seven months. In fact it took five.
Olin and the deputy were heading east on a single-lane road when they collided in the bike lane, officials said.
Olin, a prominent entertainment industry attorney, was pronounced dead at the scene. Wood suffered cuts and other minor injuries.
The Sheriff's Department apologized publicly to Olin's family after the accident.
