Woman, toddler, infant found dead at Central California wildfire scene
Authorities say three people — including two small children — have been found dead at the site of a Central California wildfire.
The bodies of a woman, toddler and infant were found Monday night in a burned camping trailer in a rural, unincorporated area of San Benito County. The area is east of Monterey and more than 100 miles southeast of San Francisco.
There’s no immediate word on the identity of the victims or how they died.
The 64-acre wildfire near Panoche was 85% contained Tuesday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
